I’m a multi-lingual Psychotherapist with more than 20 years of clinical experience in providing 1:1 and group therapy in different hospitals, as well as for other public and private organizations, with the objective of improving the mental health of my patients in Barcelona and London.
It is my continuous curiosity to understand human experiences and relationships amongst people that led to my decision to pursue a degree in Psychology. Since obtaining my degree it has been my passion and the driver of my career to help others understand and deal with their suffering and to work with them on finding ways to feel better and to develop as a person.
Throughout the years I have worked providing services to Acute and Sub-Acute Units, Day Hospitals and outpatients with adults as well as providing individual and/or group therapy to youngsters and adolescents. These experiences have primarily been provided at the General Hospital of Catalonia, the North London Priory Hospital and the Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital of London and the Llúria Clinic of Barcelona. These diverse and rewarding experiences have allowed me to be practice in and observe the psychotherapy’s world from different professionals and cultural points of view.
This personal and professional background, together with university and subsequent academic training, teaching activity and supervision in different mental health services contribute to creating a personalized treatment in which I try to incorporate all the learning so that the patient can understand, make sense of and face their difficulties in order to improve their lives.
